Our history
The People’s Aid Relief Agency, which was first known, Greater Ngapathian Youth Network for Development was born in 2010 to respond to the urgent needs in the communities following recovery phase of civil war in South Sudan. In 2015, the organization participated in South Sudan’s Civil Society Development Association trade fair. During the trade, the organization won the innovation fund which was in form of voucher. In 2016, PARA became relief aid agency to provide innovative and basic services through communities’ contribution.
From its roots as an operational local agency, it has broadened its scope to become the leading national agency working with community and government to advance the understanding of fragile environment uphold the human dignity and well-being of affected communities.
